Let’s Talk FAQ’s

  • Great question! Botox and fillers may both work wonders, but they’re each designed to do different things.

Botox is like your go-to for smoothing out lines caused by muscle movement. It relaxes the muscles that create expression lines, like those on your forehead or around your eyes, so they soften and fade away. Perfect for that smooth, refreshed look!

Fillers, on the other hand, are all about volume. They’re used to plump up areas that naturally lose fullness over time, like cheeks or lips. They can also contour, define, and add a little extra oomph wherever you want it.

Think of Botox as your wrinkle-relaxer and fillers as your volume-boosters. Together, they’re the dream team for a youthful, natural look!

  • Chemical peels are powerful treatments that exfoliate and revitalize your skin. They remove damaged outer layers of skin to make skin smoother, reduce scarring and remove blemishes. Chic Contours offers the #1 Peel in the US, ViPeel.

ViPeels do not cause burning or bruising. You will shed your outer layer between day 3 & 5 so it will be noticeable. But once you have one, you will be addicted to how good your skin looks and feels.

  • Wondering if Botox or fillers will leave you looking too much? That’s a common concern, and here’s the good news: at Chic Contours, our goal is always natural-looking, beautiful results that enhance, not overpower.

We believe in a “less is more” approach, carefully tailoring each treatment to suit your features and goals. You’ll look refreshed and rejuvenated, not overdone! Our trained team knows how to subtly smooth, lift, and contour so you look like you—just a little more radiant. So, rest easy! You’re in good hands for a natural glow-up, not a drastic change.

A perfect way to determine how you will look is to look at your injector. :)

  • This is a VERY appropriate question to ask your injector. First, always ask your injector to see the bottle, packaging, and even the refrigerator (where Botox must be stored).

Second, your injector must be a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, physician assistant or medical doctor. Do not allow anyone else not in that category to inject you with Botox, Filler or do a Chemical Peel.

Unfortunately there are blackmarket products and injectors and you need to ask these questions to protect yourself.

  • When it comes to Botox and fillers, the big question is always, “Will it hurt?” The honest answer? There’s some level of discomfort, but don’t worry! It’s more like a little pinch or pressure than anything serious. Think of it as less “ouch” and more “hey, I felt that!”

We totally get it—no one looks forward to needles, but we’ve got your back. We use numbing creams and gentle techniques to make the experience as comfy as possible. Some clients say it feels like a slight pinch or a stinging sensation, and it’s over in a flash! So, while you might feel a little something, we make sure it’s 100% bearable (and worth it for those amazing results).

  • So, you’re loving your Botox or filler results—naturally, you’re wondering how often you’ll need a touch-up to keep that fresh look!

For Botox, results usually last around 3-4 months, so most clients come in 3-4 times a year. For fillers, the timeline depends on the type and area, but results generally last between 6-18 months. So, you might be coming in just once or twice a year for a quick refresh.

And of course, I always recommend getting a chemical peel with every Botox treatment.

Of course, everyone’s different, and we’ll work with you to create a schedule that fits your goals. Think of it as a little self-care time to keep you feeling fabulous year-round!

  • Both Botox and Dermal Fillers require that the client be a minimum of age 18.

When it comes to Botox, there are many reasons to get Botox in your 20’s even if you do not have permanent wrinkles. Infact, Botox is considered a preventative cosmetic treatment BEFORE wrinkles set in.

I was 30 when I started getting Botox.

You are also never too old to get Botox as it can help reduce already set in wrinkles and fine lines (especially coupled with skin care and chemical peels).

When it comes to filler, as we age we lose fat pads naturally which causes skin to sag. Filler is placed in these specific areas giving a more youthful facial contour.

  • Let’s talk side effects! Botox and fillers are generally safe when administered by trained professionals, but like any cosmetic treatment, there are some things to keep in mind.

For Botox, the most common side effects are minor and temporary—think mild redness, slight swelling, or tiny bruises where it’s injected. These usually go away within a day or two, so you’ll be back to your glowing self in no time.

With fillers, you might experience some similar effects: mild swelling, bruising, or tenderness at the injection sites. These are typically short-lived and can be minimized with a little ice and rest.

Serious side effects are rare, but we always make sure you know what to watch out for and feel comfortable. We’re here to answer any questions and ensure you feel confident about every step.
